We built this agency on the principle of solving problems other agencies won’t, backed by the experience of a national network that has served families since 2000.

Meet Our Founders

Marcus Chapman

Co-Owner

Throughout his life, Marcus has had a passion for serving others, both in the United States and globally. He firmly believes in striving to be the change in the world and in his community. Now, he is following this passion even further by opening Tennessee’s first A Better Solution In-Home Care.

Born and raised in Reston, Virginia, Marcus has since lived all over the Eastern part of the country. He graduated from Collegedale Academy in Collegedale, Tennessee, and attended Southern Adventist University. He and Emily enjoy being active in both their church and the Chattanooga community. Marcus has been part of three medical missionary trips, the first in Fiji and the other two in Panama. He helped teach locals how to live a healthy lifestyle, served as a dental assistant, and provided oral care to over 20,000 individuals in need. In addition, he also helped build schools and churches in their communities.

Marcus and Emily are entrepreneurs and run several businesses. The largest is a digital marketing agency. This has allowed them to help both local and national companies reach their targeted audiences in the most effective way possible. Helping people grow their business is one of their biggest passions. Marcus was attracted to home care years ago. Growing up with his grandmother living in the same house with him for over 15 years, he saw how important it was to have the right person there to take care of her. His parents always went the extra mile to give her the best possible care, either with them or with an occasional home caregiver. He saw how crucial it was to have the right person whom his grandmother could trust and feel comfortable around. With his family’s history of hiring caregivers and his desire to help people, it was a perfect match.

Emily Chapman

Co-Owner

Emily Chapman was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She moved to the Greater Chattanooga Area in 2014, where she studied Health Science for 4 years to earn her Bachelor of Science.

Emily is passionate about all things health & wellness. She enjoys spending her time sharing healthy recipes on her blog, educating others on the importance of ionized water, and is also a co-owner of a digital media agency.

Her college studies really sparked her interest in all things health and wellness. However, what specifically attracted her to home care was her own personal experience with her great-grandmother. Her great-grandmother was 92 years old when she suffered a massive stroke, leaving her to depend on extra care. Emily saw the toll this took on her family as they tried to care for her themselves. What they desperately needed at the time was a trustworthy, reliable home care agency to help them care for her.

Her favorite part of home care is helping others, something her heart is naturally gifted for. She has experience caring for others in local nursing homes and on mission trips to several countries, so she is happy to bring this local mission to Chattanooga.
